TL;DR : Physics In The News Resources

When I worked at Warwick University, I ran the Physics Journal Club project, getting predominantly A-level students to read academic papers through guided questions. I recently read the BBC story about JET’s record breaking nuclear fusion run, and I realised how much of the story was just excellent GCSE physics.

With this in mind I copied the story (with all accreditations and links so I’m hoping nobody minds…), chunked it up, and threw in thirty-odd questions that link the story to the AQA GCSE spec. I’ve listed the topics that the questions are drawn from in the header.

And if anyone from the BBC, New Scientist, BBC Focus magazine, WIRED etc. etc. etc. want to chat so that these turn into a resource that is offered to teachers to support the use of their wonderful articles in classrooms, hit me up on Twitter.
